Is it me or have plants suddenly appeared everywhere?
With spring still a while away (41 days.. but who's counting?), this green tinted breeze comes as a welcome surprise.
From Instagram yogis taking Urdhva Dhanurasana (that's Full Wheel pose for you and me) in the middle of the Barbican Conservatory, to vloggers with their mini cactus desk backdrops, books on indoor gardening popping up like mushroom, Bonsai being discussed at your local caff, workshops on how to make your own terrariums, and Robert Plant headlining a summer music festival this year... I can definitely say... GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK.
Wellness and plants go hand in hand. Is there a prettier, easier way to keep your air clean, decorate your living space and create a more creative and stress free environment? The answers is... I can't think of one.
So The City Lotus says... it's time to get your fingers dirty.
Here are a couple of interesting gardening workshops I found - and that I NEED TO TRY!
Terrariums AND PROSECCO (say whaaaat?) workshops in Peckham, Camberwell and surrounding areas with Jar and Fern
How to keep your houseplants happy? Easy, ask BOTANY.
Beautiful plants, need beautiful... macrame plant hangers. Make your own with Lark & Fable's workshop
Do you have a green finger you didn't know about? Is the only living organism in your flat the mouldy cheese in the fridge? Have you tried your hand at an interesting gardening workshop? Let me know.
